Liver Treats
500 grams ox or lamb liver
1 cup flour
1/2 cup cornmeal - fine
1/2 cup wheatgerm
1 teaspoon crushed garlic- optional
Put liver in a food processor or blender, process then add other ingredients.
Spread on greased tray or lamington tin.
Bake at 180C for 15minute.
Cut up into chunks and store some in freezer. Keep what you need for treats in the fridge and cut up small as you need them.
Keeps for a week in the fridge.
Hint: Wash the food processor in cold water before using hot or the mixture will stick to it.
This recipe can be adapted by changing the flours, adding egg or changing the liver for a can of mackeral and tomato sauce.
Very economical and loved by dogs.
